Rouse Up O Young Men Of The New Age
ROUSE UP O YOUNG MEN OF THE NEW AGE is practically a musings disguised as a novel; or, a novel that practically develops from the author’s musings on his and his family’s relationship with his son - a “special child” who was born with brain damage and who, in his teen, had become increasingly disturbed - and his fascination with William Blake’s poetry. I found the writing (and translation) of this closely autobiographical near-pristine, particularly when the author makes spontaneous inventions to link reality and literature. The novel is as emotionally-involving and evocative as the similarly themed novella “Teach Us To Outgrow Our Madness.”
