Natoy, like any other child, finds joy in eating halo-halo filled with pink gelatin and red sago. Things change suddenly when, as he and his other are watching TV, a news report on the war in Mindanao shows a footage of a badly wounded soldier waiting for rescue. That soldier, bleeding to death, is his father.

In Infanta, Quezon, locals turn each of the 31 days of May into a charming honor to pay tribute to the virginal virtues of the Mayohan. This will culminate in Pasayaw or Tapusan. Amidst the festivities a 15-year old young outsider becomes the focal point in the preparation that the Pasayaw entails.
