The Best of Cinemalaya 6

Now that I've seen all the competing films in both New Breed and Directors Showcase, I can say that generally that the competing films shown in this year's edition of Cinemalaya are worth watching. The best of this year's batch of films will be awarded at 7:OO PM today.

On performances, in my opinion, notable are those of Meryll Soriano and Baron Geisler's in Donor, Tessie Tomas and Benjie Felipe's in Two Funerals, John Arcilla's in Halaw, Irma Adlawan's in Vox Populi, Julio Diaz' in Magkakapatid, Emilio Garcia's in Rekrut, Lovi Poe's in Mayohan, Tetchie Agbayani's in Limbunan, and LJ Reyes' in The Leaving. Meryll Soriano, John Arcilla and Baron Geisler should win.
