Film Review: The Missing

The Missing (Lee Kang-Sheng, 2003)
Chinese title: Bu Jian
In Chinese, with English subtitles

The Missing, a Taiwanese film, is generally good and straightforward, with some irony. It's circular in a way that it ends where it begins. The story is simple: A grandmother, worried and hysterical, is looking for his grandson whom she had left in the care of stranger, for a while, as she checked into a public toilet. Meanwhile, a teenager who has been killing time playing computer games realizes his Alzheimer's disease-stricken grandfather is missing.

A decent film that's worth your time.
