The movie's narrative format is similar to that of Godfather II's. Good, it doesn't disappoint. One narrative explores how relationships were forged before Donna and when decided to live in Greece. Another, which is the present, where Donna is already dead, tells the story about Donna's daughter fulfilling her mother's dream of putting up a hotel in that beautiful Greek island. The movie moves back and forth between these two timelines. ABBA's songs, through musical numbers, are supposed to help move the narrative. Indeed, the songs deed. But, there are instances when there's not enough breather between songs.

But, I like the movie anyway.
