We see love triangles involving teenagers in a lot of movies. The one in Ocean Waves is not different. In fact, the story is not extraordinary. But, to see it as animated film is a different experience. The framing is beautiful. The nostalgic feel, as the film uses flash backs, is real despite the animated characters. At certain points, I tend to forget I'm seeing an animated film.
