Gabriel Garcia Marquez: CHRONICLE OF A DEATH FORETOLD

This short novel tells of a murder that everyone knows about before it happens. The murderers are known from the start; however, the novel is not about them - it is about the the anatomy of the murder. The chronicle of the murder is narrated (by an unnamed narrator) 27 years after the murder took place. All the elements of writing that Gabriel Garcia Marquez has been known for are all here and these add to the genius of this miniature masterpiece.
