A movie of the serial killer genre, Dressed To Kill impresses as almost in the mold of Hitchcock. The scene at the shower can be taken as a homage to Psycho. Of course, the serial killer here must indeed be a psycho. However, the movie is not a copy cut of any Hitchcock's masterpieces. De Palma's visual style, while not necessarily original, complements every aspect of the movie. I have to particularly mention the stalking scene at the museum. I brings out chills. And that's the main point.
