Tokyo! is an omnibus movie of three unrelated stories. Bong Joon Ho tells the story of a man who can't adjust to society until a strong earthquake shakes his routine. Michel Gondry's story is about the girlfriend of an aspiring film maker whose body parts become wood. Leos Carax tells about a sewer creature that terrorizes Tokyo. All these are set in Tokyo. All the stories seem to be all about outsiders. But, more conspicuous is the mystery each of these characters projects. The effect of these three is cumulative.

Of these three, my favorite is Michel Gondry's "Interior Design." The movie has his signature written all over. That's a good thing.
